Hydroponic Supplies

Whether you're running a private tomato garden, or a full-on hydroponics lima bean factory, it is often a good idea to buy expendables, such as replacement tips for a PH tester or your specific brand of nutrient formula, wholesale. Lets take a look at the top Google entries for Wholesale Hydroponics.

Canadian Wholesale Hydroponics, while they do have "wholesale" in their name, doesn't actually seem to sell their products in quantities greater than one. Special hydroponics light bulbs must be purchased one at a time. They do, however, waive the shipping charge if your order reaches over $100 CND -- which, given the product, isn't hard to do. A 1000 watt light bulb can run 60 dollars, easily, though they are obtainable at Canadian Wholesale Hydroponics for about ten dollars under this number. Aside from waiving the shipping, however, they offer no other incentive for purchasing in bulk.

LCM Wholesale Hydroponics has a better grasp of the term 'wholesale.' A worm manure nutrient formula, called worm tea, comes in five gallon buckets (and is normally sold by the pint). All of their products come in gargantuan sizes, so they are surely a bit more promising than Canadian Wholesale Hydroponics.

My favorite, however, is the Holland Forge, "Australia's premium hydroponics wholesaler" which actually sells products wholesale, to retailers. Just like the name wholesale *should* imply. (I'm still glaring at those other two sites.) If you're in the market for buying commercial quantities of high quality hydroponics gear, and don't mind having it shipped from down under, I would stop here. Drop an e-mail to info@hollandforge.com.au and ask how to get a copy of their catalogue. They were quite polite to my probing, and are a decent lot.
